VS Code’s open-source core adds 295 stars in a day
What is vscode?
The Code-OSS repo holds the full source of Microsoft’s VS Code editor, built in TypeScript and released under MIT. It powers the free Windows, macOS and Linux builds and lets anyone tinker with the editor itself.
Who it is for
If you build extensions, need a custom IDE, or just want to see how a modern editor is built, you can fork or contribute directly.
